After completing her Master of Physician Assistant Studies at Shenandoah University, Thao served a one year residency and one year fellowship in medical and surgical management of spinal disorders. She is licensed by the Virginia Board of Medicine and is certified by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants and Advanced Cardiac Life Support/Basic Life Support.
