Edward Albers
Mr. Edward Albers is a retired Naval Special Warfare SEAL Officer with multiple Joint Special Operations duty assignments.
A native of Northern Kentucky, he enlisted in the Navy in 1986 and later received a NROTC Scholarship and graduated from the University of San Diego in 1995 with a Bachelors’ degree in in biochemistry and earning a Navy commission.
Mr. Albers served multiple Navy SEAL Team tours of duty as a Commanding Officer, Joint Task Force Operations Officer, Executive Officer, Operations Officer, Training Officer, Task Unit Commander, Platoon Commander, and Assistant Platoon Commander. Ed served in special operations in Southwest Asia, Africa, Asia, and Latin America; his diverse interagency experience includes assignments at United States Special Operations Command, Office of Naval Intelligence, National Reconnaissance Office, and Office of the Secretary of Defense.
Mr. Albers is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of New River Systems Corporation, an information technology consulting company based in Northern Virginia. Prior to founding New River Systems, Mr. Albers held leadership positions at various Aerospace and Defense, and high technology companies to include Northrop Grumman, and Intel Corporation. Ed is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys mountaineering, hiking and boating. Together he and his wife Erin have four children.
