Motion Preservation CME Series
This two-part webinar series produced by the Spine Health Foundation’s Motion Preservation Task Force, providing surgeon-focused, evidence-based updates on lumbar and cervical disc arthroplasty (ADR). This series is designed to give practicing spine surgeons the most current, practical guidance on on-label indications and approvals, implant selection, long-term outcomes, payer requirements, and emerging motion-preservation strategies — with a strong emphasis on real-world clinical decision-making and documentation that drives approval success.
Session 1: Lumbar Disc Arthroplasty Update

This session focuses on why lumbar ADR remains more restricted than cervical ADR and how surgeons can navigate today’s payer environment. We will review the implant landscape, patient selection fundamentals, long-term outcomes of data, documentation strategies, appeal pathways, and emerging motion-preservation technologies.
Session 2: Cervical Disc Arthroplasty Update
Date: Tuesday, February 10 | 4-5 PM ET
This session provides a 2026-ready update on cervical ADR, including FDA on-label approvals, documentation requirements, device-neutral implant selection principles, and interpretation of long-term outcomes data. We will address common myths, off-label and hybrid strategies, insurance implications, HO prevention, revision strategies, and training pathways for young surgeons.
