Chiropractic Care

CHIROPRACTIC CARE INCLUDES SPINAL MANIPULATION AND NON-MANIPULATIVE THERAPIES, SUCH AS ELECTRICAL MUSCLE STIMULATION, MASSAGE THERAPY, AND ULTRASOUND.

As determined upon MRI, your doctor may diagnose a condition that doesn’t warrant surgical care or injection. These conditions can respond to a well-designed course of physical therapy and/or chiropractic manipulation.

WHEN IS CHIROPRACTIC CARE A TREATMENT OPTION FOR YOU?

  • If your spine is stable
  • If you are experiencing recent neurological symptoms (less than three months), e.g. numbness, pain, or weakness in the arms or legs
  • If you have soft tissue strains and sprains
  • For conditions such as benign low back pain, whiplash, sacroiliac joint dysfunction, facet joint syndrome

WHEN IS CHIROPRACTIC CARE NOT RECOMMENDED?

  • If you are experiencing spinal instability
  • For symptoms of numbness, pain, or weakness in the arms or legs which persist longer than three months following a course of conservative treatment
  • For conditions such as spondylolisthesis, severe abnormal spinal curvature, severe disc herniation, certain degrees of disc degeneration

BE WARY OF:

  • Promises to cure diseases unrelated to the spine
  • Diagnoses of subluxated vertebrae
  • Excessive long-term maintenance care
  • Pediatric chiropractic
  • Supplementation sales
