Neel Anand, MD

Dr. Anand is a Professor of Orthopedic Surgery and the Director of the Spine Center at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. He earned his medical degree from the University of Bombay’s Topiwala National Medical College. He has undergone extensive training at prestigious institutions, including the Royal College of Surgeons of England and the Hospital for Special Surgery at Cornell University.

Dr. Anand is a pioneer in minimally invasive spine surgery. He has significantly advanced patient care by developing procedures that reduce recovery times and postoperative complications. His contributions have led to new standards in orthopedic surgery, emphasizing less invasive techniques.

An active member of the North American Spine Society (NASS) and the Scoliosis Research Society (SRS), Dr. Anand is also a part of the Spine Program Committee for the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS). 

With over 500 publications, Dr. Anand’s research is extensively recognized. He serves as a section editor for Gray’s Anatomy 41st Edition and Gray’s Surgical Anatomy 1st Edition. His commitment to enhancing surgical methods and patient safety establishes him as a global leader in spine surgery.
