John Dimar, MD

Dr. John Dimar is a prominent orthopedic surgeon and clinical professor at the University of Louisville School of Medicine, where he also serves as the Chief Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeon at Norton Children’s Hospital. He directs Resident Basic Science Education, playing a pivotal role in the training of future orthopedic surgeons.

Dr. Dimar earned his medical degree from Wright State University, completed his orthopedic residency at Lutheran Hospital, and underwent a spine fellowship at the Leatherman Spine Center. He also served as Chief of Surgery in the U.S. Air Force at the Regional Hospital in Minot, North Dakota.

Specializing in the treatment of spine deformities, tumors, degenerative diseases, and trauma, Dr. Dimar focuses particularly on cervical and degenerative spine conditions. His expertise and dedication significantly enhance both patient care and medical education.
